Logo Design Process |
Just like any project, logo design has a process you need to go through. Designing a logo is not easy especially when you haven't got the budget or an idea of what your logo
should look like. Logo leaves a lasting impression about your business that is why you need to make sure you design the right one that represents your business well. If you're anything like me, designing a logo from scratch by myself is not going to happen. However there are tools
out there to help you create a logo even for free. You just need to find the right site that provides this. I myself uses a free logo tool which have predesigned logos for different businesses. However, if you do have a budget to get someone to design it, make sure you do your research
first, compare prices, call them and ask questions about their procedures. Find out how much input you will need to put in and who you will be working with.

Brief
The very first step and one of the most important steps. You get this part right and the rest of the process will fall into place a lot smoother. It is important that you talk to the designer about the design. Give them a run down of what your business is about.
What you want it to portray. From this discussion the designer will create a number of concepts and then the next step starts.

Sketching and Conceptualising - There are many web design companies out there so I suggest you do your research first before approaching them as this can save you time and money.
If you have very low budge, there are alternative options such as web design templates which you can buy and customised it yourself. |

Revision - Once you have choosen a design you may want to revise it to create the ultimate design. Maybe tweaking the logo design here or there is what is needed. However, make sure you speak up if designer has lost the plot. It is more costly
to make any changes at the end. |

Final Design - The final step is the logo design that you are happy with. I love this logo of the WWF, it's simple but it is says a lot about what they are all about. |
